Lincoln Logs

Does anyone have any recommendations about the best deal on a set of Lincoln Logs. I am looking for something classic. I saw a Collector's Edition going for $80, but it looks like it is about 100 pieces. On ebay they are selling 600+ piece set of "Timber Logs" for $35. Also, I saw a 450 piece set in Back to Basics catalog for $40.00. Any experience with any of these?

I personally would go to Target or Toys R Us....I know the good old fashioned Lincoln Logs we had as a kid are back in the classic edition, could even be the collectors edition, not sure...but if Im not mistaken it was only about $20. I cant say more about the set because its been a few weeks since I saw it, but personally do you want 600 peices laying all over the place? And are they really going to play with that many peices? I would get the basic set first then you can always expand if its a big play thing. Just my two cents!
