Just wanted to pass this to those of you who may be interested. There is a show on TLC that my DD and DS LOVE to watch. It's called Hi-5 and it's on every morning at 7:40 AM. They're five young adults who sing, act and dance. Each week pertains to a theme and each person is assigned a "specialty" (i.e., patterns, movement, music) It always ends with a story/skit. The songs they sing are very catchy. Who knows? They may be the next "Wiggles."

They'll be doing mall tours starting next month lasting two months and if they perform in your area, check them out. Here's a website:

We love Hi-5 too! I actually like them better than the Wiggles...

Me too! I think their songs are so much more catchier than the Wiggles. My DD is always singing their songs around the house and in the car and my DS always stops what he's doing to watch whenever he hears them. New episodes are supposed to start during the week of April 5th. Hope that the group will be performing at a mall near where you live. If you're interested in a list of where they'll be putting on a show, let me know and I'll PM it to you.

Is this the show with the (I think so anyway) "hip hop" elephant? There's another show on TLC that Gannon really likes, with a penguin. It alternates between puppetry and animation. Then there's the one with the English car chasing bad guys...I don't really like that one much.

No, I think the one with the elephant is "Animal Jams." That show is one after Hi-5 on TLC in the mornings. My kids don't really enjoy that show for some reason.

BTW...how are things going with you and your little one? Has your DS made the transition to being an older sibling? Have you adjusted to having two? :)

Our family just came back from the Hi-5 free concert sponsored by Westfield Shopping Malls! LOVE, LOVE, LOVED it! This group was fantastic! If they are coming to a mall near you, please, please go see them. You'll not regret it. They had all the kids singing, jumping up and down and dancing. They'll be giving away pictures, sample DVDs and signing autographs. We were also lucky to have had a chance to meet them prior to the concert. They were so sweet with my DD and DS! Makes me love these guys even more.

You can access their concert schedule at:

Jeannette -

Do you have any idea if they are coming back out to the West Coast? We missed them last time and would love to catch them soon!

Hi Rose,

Nothing scheduled for the West Coast at the moment. :(

My guess is that they're seeing how this leg of the tour goes. The fans are currently on an e-mail campaign to expand the tour to other sites. Keep your fingers crossed with the hopes that TPTB will do that.

Edited to add: Just heard today that there are tentative plans to add Long Beach, CA to the tour, but they're not firm. I'll post if I hear more. :)
