Nick has a baby boy doll that he loves. It cracks me up to watch him with "baby" since he loves to feed and diaper him. He also sleeps with him every night, "baby" on one side, and a tonka hard hat on the other!

Anyway, with the birth of our second rapidly approaching, I was wondering if Nick needed accessories for his doll to help with the adjustment. I was thinking a stroller, cradle, and some clothes. Do you think this would be overkill? Where would be the best place to find stuff that isn't pink?

Thanks for your help!

I'd definitely recommend the stroller! There's a great cheap one at Target that I probably learned about here. $7 when we bought it and the fabric and colors seem to change a lot so don't know if a non-pink one is out there. My daughter's is definitely pink but with other colors too. A friend has a blue one but it might be a few years old. We also have a Little Tykes shopping cart that her babies ride in a lot, maybe that would be more manly.

We have a cradle she got from her grandma, but it doesn't get much use. Pretty much any surface can turn into a bed. And I was so excited about buying doll clothes! but my daughter couldn't care less about them. Maybe when she can dress the dolls herself, but now they pretty much all run around naked for their once-every-five-minute diaper changes!

Hi,

I was wondering what doll you got for your DS? With all this talk about dolls I started looking around and so many cute girl dolls, but very few boy dolls. I've been poking around all the sites hoping to find one that looks a little like DS (who has brown eyes and is half chinese and half german, so it is a little harder :)). I'm in love with this doll right now:

And I would suggest target as well for looking for accessories. I know for sure they carry the graco line of doll accessories (I'm just not sure exactly which ones). One example of the look is:

http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B000098XGB/qid=1077694044/sr=1-2/ref=sr_1_2/103-8927154-2538247?v=glance&s=toys

Based on amazon having it, then toys r us may have some options as well...

DS has a little tikes shopping cart and he has his stuffed animals sitting in it right now, so that was also a good suggestion.

I think stroller would be great. You can get a blue plaid graco one at Toysrus. I LOVE this red maclaren doll stroller also (but a bit more pricey):

I bought a Tidoo bath doll from Corolle in baby boy version at TJmaxx's recently if you want a another boy doll. It was cheap also (15-18 range).

OK, I just ordered one of the mac strollers - how could I not?! It's absolutely adorable, and Alia can walk her "baby" in the stroller while I walk the newborn in the real one...I'm so excited! Thanks for posting this link!

Hi,
I think you grabbed the last one at babystyle site! It's not there anymore. In any case, I'm glad to be of any help. Now I need to find another one for Mia somewhere before April for her b-day: anyone see one somewhere? I have heard of some B&M stores carrying them but I don't know which one.

Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry, I thought you already had one (and had no idea I was getting the last one):-(

I did some online research and found some listed here:

Again, I'm really sorry.

Oh, no, you misunderstood me, please don't be sorry! I'm truly glad that you got the last one! I'm not even sure if I should get one since Mia does have a pink one that's she's perfectly happy with (I happen to hate pink, I don't know what possessed me to get the cheapo pink one)!

Again, please don't be sorry! and I'm sorry for my confusing post!

A mom in my playgroup wanted a "doll" stroller for her little boy. She just bought one of the super cheap umbrella strollers you see everywhere. Its a big hit at playgroup.

HTH,
