Colin loves to take clothes on and off. We can spend a good twenty minutes trying on all of his coats and hats. I'm thinking he might enjoy some dress up clothes. He's got a fire hat and a construction hat and I was wondering where I might be able to find more stuff- maybe a police officer uniform or a lab coat- really any clothes that he can take on and off. Any ideas on where I can find this kind of stuff reasonably inexpensivly?

Thanks,

TRU sells a really cute policeman set--hat, shirt, walkie talkie, ticket book :), whistle, and maybe a badge. I bought it for my nephew's 3rd birthday. They had another, maybe a dr, nurse or vet, can't quite remember.

Can't say they're inexpensive though, $29 for the policeman set I think but it was a gift so I went ahead and he really liked it. Seemed a little much for what was included.

check out some thrift shops for halloween costumes. sounds like a fun stage. My cousins (boys and girls) and I would spend hours playing dress up! Have fun collecting stuff...also ask family and friends if they have old clothes to share.

I gave my daughter the FP Doctor set and she loves it - I know, it's not dress up, but we use it in conjuction with a too small white oxford of mine (lab coat). You could get him a yellow slicker to go with his fire hat (with some red electrical tape trim?). I second the GoodWill/Salvation Army secondhand shops. You can also go to a military surplus store for old uniforms, patches, etc.
