Not sure how new this is, but I'm really excited! I've seen the Crayola Wonder Mess Free Markers before, but yesterday at TRU I discovered they have a Finger Painting Kit out, too! As with the markers, the finger paint only comes out on the special paper, and there is no water needed to use the paint. Arielle had a blast with it this morning, and it's so much easier than dragging out her easel and setting up paint and smocks, etc. I still like the idea of using real paint so she can experiment with the texture and use large pieces of paper (the Color Wonder is only standard printer paper size). But it's great for a quick activity with no clean up (except for a good hand washing).

The only downside is that we've gone though a good portion of the finger paint already. You don't need to use much at all to make the color appear...but that concept was a bit lost on her. :)

Here's what the package looks like:

LOL. I should have entitled it "Mess free--and clothed!--finger paint" :)

Angela, I just noticed that WOW is now a GIRL. Did you just find out the gender? (I had early June U/Ss with both girls.) Three little girls is going to be such fun!! :)

Well that looks pretty neat ;)

Something to try with ds, who tends to paint himself rather than paper *sigh*

VERY neat. I didn't know that they made paint as well. Matthew lives for the markers...

We used it on the plane going to visit my brother at Easter and the kids loved it! Imagine being able to finger paint on a plane. It occupied them for a good 1-2 hours, which was amazing to us. I loved it so much I brought it to my pediatrician as a gift for her kids.

Oooo....ahhh.... Rachel, you are my hero. Wind beneath my wings and whatever else I can come up with.

We are facing a 16 hour (yes, you did read that right) flight in December and I am already panicking at the idea of how on earth to keep him occupied. Stickers, Magna Doodles, and snacks only take you so far. He doesn't watch tv/movies at all yet but he does love to paint.

Color Wonder and Rachel, you are my friends!!
