I found some darling Madeline dolls (her, Danielle, Nona, Miss Clavel, the dog) at Ross. They were very inexpensive and there were also lots of accessories and outfits available. So, I bought a bunch of it for Christmas.
Then I started looking around on the web (TRU) for the doll house and clothing case. I didn't find those, but I did read a bunch of reviews of the dolls where people were complaining that the manufacturer changed the dolls faces - made them more animated or Barbie-ish. Apparently, the dolls had previously been made to look just like the characters in the books. We read the books all the time, so now I'm wondering if I should search for the old dolls with the simple faces? So the book and the dolls match?
Please let me know your thoughts if you have these dolls. Thanks
