Hi all,
I'm looking for a good play cash register for my now 2.5 yo DD for Christmas. I have seen several options at TRU and epinions but I wanted the opinion of the great folks here.
I'm thinking about the Learning Resources cash registers (2 versions) as well as the Leap Frog Play Pretend Register. The Learning Resources basic register for 3+ has had lots of "awards" and includes pretend bills and coins, credit card, storage/cash drawer, solar powered working calculator. (No coin slot or scale like the older kid/deluxe model. Deluxe model also talks and includes an activity book for math concepts.) A separate bar code sticker set/scanner is sold separately.
The LF Register comes with 4 plastic encased coins that can go into a coin slot. The register has a couple of modes and can announce the coin value or add them up. There are other functions, but they escape me right now. I believe it also works with the LF shopping cart and scanner.
So, has anyone had experience with these and do you have an opinion as to which register would be best?
Thanks!
