Computer/Laptop for 2.5 yr toddler

My DD is VERY interested in using the computer. We do have an old laptop but am wondering if one of the laptops or computers made for toddlers would be better. I am also interested in software etc. Any suggestions appreciated!!

We got a computer for DS when he turned 3. I was entirely against it, but DH was really insistent and since I mostly make the decisions about the kids, I "gave in". My father works for IBM, so that is what we got through their "friends and family" deal. If you are interested in seeing what is available right now, let me know and I'll send you the link. No info on Toddler computers though, sorry. We did get an extended warranty, though, which I think is important...

DH did alot of research on the software, and some things that we got are: Reader Rabbit Toddler, Fisher Price Discovery Airport, Maisy's Playhouse, Dr. Seuss' ABC's, and Lego Preschool. Now that DS is older, he really likes Blue's Art Time Activities.
