View Full Version : Art Easel - Should we get one you clip the paper on or one with a roll of paper?

My daughter will be 3 in March and is very interested in painting on easels and using the chalkboard side of her friend's easel. Any ideas for Christmas gift? I found an easel I really like at Lakeshore Learning Store that was VERY sturdy but it didn't have a chalkboard side and the paper had to be clipped on.

I also found one in the Hearthsong catalog that looked nice but it had a roll of paper at the top and a chalkboard side.

Which type with paper roll or without paper roll is easier/better for families/children to use?

Any thoughts or recommendations?

Thanks

Hello,

We have this easel:

We like it because the roll is in between the drawing board and the paper comes up from behind and then down the front. You don't have to worry about clipping and the roll is always there.
This one also has room for paint containers and it also has a chalk board and a magnetic and dry erase as well.

All in all this has been a very functional piece for a great price.
My kids are 3 and 5.
