b-day gift for a 2 year old girl

Any recommendations for a b-day gift for a 2 year old girl? Toy or clothes?

My daughter just turned two. So far her favorite gifts have been baby doll related. She got a set with a stroller, car seat type carrier, and playpen/crib as well as a couple dolls and a little tikes highchair (that was off ebay). She loves them.

She also likes here pop open tunnel (for crawling through), her my little ponies (technically she is too young for them but I just put the small pieces away). She also has a dress up set she liked.

For the best bet get a not too expensive doll, and then get her an outfit in 2T or 3T. Mom and kid will both be happy on that one.

My DD was more excited by toys at age 2. I would recommend a play kitchen, play food, Playdoh set, books, sticker books, tricycle, easel, or puzzles.

The other posters have great suggestions! You may also want to consider a tea set (DD loves the Fisher Price Musical set), a Magnadoodle, a Mega Bloks wagon, or art supplies. This is a great age - they LOVE it all!

I think it depends on your daughter's personality. My 22 mos. old dd loves the outdoors. She'd stay outside from dawn til dusk if we let her, no matter the weather. She's also a bit of a tomboy so we bought her a tricycle and are considering either a sandbox, a small inflatable pool or some smaller outdoor-only toys. I bought a ton of clothes at the end of summer last year so she doesn't need anything new. Just my .02.

I bought my friend's DD a dress up set when she turned 2. She has basically lived in those dress up clothes since! I got this one only I found it at Big Lots for $19.99....
