We just put up our new Rainbow playset (yay!!!!) and I need to get a toddler swing for DS for it. We got the one from Costco and it comes with 2 sling swings & a trapeze bar. Anyway... Does anyone know if I can just use one of the FP ones from Toys R Us? Or do I really need to get a toddler swing from Rainbow? I think anything would probably do just fine, but I was wondering if anyone had any experience with this.

TIA!

ETA: Also, does anyone know if the toddler bucket seats available through Rainbow are available less expensive elsewhere.

Sorry i don't know cheaper places to buy but i wanted to say on the plastic swings etc..many times they are not long enough to fit on the wooden sets, i just bought the bucket swing from rainbow so i had the right length ;)

Of coarse you could add extra chains to lengthen i just decided it was easier to go with the RB bucket instead, plus i found it to be more roomy than the plastic styles i've had over the years :)

Have fun with the playground!

Okay, so I called the local Rainbow dealer and they wanted $115 :o for the toddler bucket swing!!!! Ack!!! I found a couple places online that were selling toddler bucket swings with coated chains for about $56. Much more reasonable. :) So I ordered this one from www.playsetparts.com with blue seat & yellow chain to match my other swings:

I should get it in a week or so. I'll let you know how it works.

We know someone who has this set, and Colin was swinging in their toddler swing today. They replaced one of the swings with a toddler swing by either Little Tykes or Fisher Price, and it seemed to work just fine!

So we got the bucket swing on Wednesday. When I took it out of the box, DD's eyes lit up and she came right over and tried to climb into it right there in the dining room!! LOL!!! So, of course I had to hang it up right away and give her a good swing. I have to cut off a bunch of the chain, but it is great! The only thing that gives away that it is not from the same set, is the coating on the chain and the chain itself, which has slightly thicker links. Otherwise, it is the same colors and looks like it belongs. DD LOVES LOVES LOVES IT!!!! I'm very glad I got it.
