Birthday Gift Ideas - 1 and 3 yr old boys

We're going to a birthday party for brothers; one will be turning 1 and the other 3. They have EVERYTHING!!! Any suggestions on what to buy; I'd like to buy them each a separate gift (I don't have a boy so I am clueless).

Little People are always a big hit. They have lots of 'boyish' sets like construction workers and garbage and fire trucks.

For Christmas I am getting my 3 year old daughter and 1 year old son a play rug. It's one of those things that has street and buildings on it so that they can run cars down the oad. That might be good as a joint gift.

I know Thomas is big for boys. If they have a train set perhaps you could buy them a couple more cars?

Books might work too, or DVDs of their favorite shows. (Sesame Street, Blues Clues, etc.)
