Now I know that my DD will have no clue what a goody bag is or even care if we give them out but we are inviting some older children that would know what they are and go to more birthday parties. Do I give out goody bags and if so what do I put in them?

The last post had all the ideas I'd give you, definitely. I'll just add that Party City has a whole seciton of nothing but goody bag stuff. For my DS, who had his first bday party in September and had lots of older kids there, I spent about $12 per child for a total of I think 8 kids. I would have spent alot more per child, but it wasn't in the budget. However, $12 gets you a TON of stuff at Patty City. I'd also recommend really cheap items, like play doh and play doh accoutrements. You can buy a ton of play doh for unbelieveably cheap. Of course, parents might be unhappy with you :-)
