My DD is turning 5 next month. Where's the best place to get inexpensive themed supplies? I just got a catalog in the mail from Birthday Express. I've never heard of them though. I'm wondering if I should just go to Party City. Any suggestions?

I have bought from Birthday Express and the transaction was good.

If you want to stick to a budget you can always buy a few things in the theme you want (like cake plates) and then suppliment with complimentary solids from a store like Paper Mart.

I think that a B&M party store will have the same or cheaper prices that Birthday Express but the selection may not be quite as good on theme stuff. The B&M stores are worth scoping out though. I found that Target and TRU had the same things as the party stores but usually charge more. They may have a few more licensed characters (especially Disney) at a Target and TRU then some place like Party City or Paper Mart.

And, not really for paper goods but you can get some things for favors (if you giving them) from someplace like Michael's.

Here are 2 other places to check for prices. OTC has more general party supplies rather than licensed themes but you can get some fun accent stuff there. :)

Thanks for the suggestions. I don't have much time with the new baby, so I think I'll do what's easiest this time and go with ordering from the Birthday Express catalog. I like the idea of going to Paper Mart for some solid accents.

Thanks!
