Animal kingdom in Dec

Does anyone know if the animals are all out during the first week of Dec -I wonder since it is cold

Yes, they are. In fact, most of the animals prefer the milder weather to the scorching heat, so they will tend to be more active. It's not *that* cold in early December - we've experienced weather as warm as the 80's and as cool as the 40's (at night, when AK is closed anyways).

I agree that December is a lovely time to go weather-wise. You'll see more animals in December than you would in July.
