Need Advice for Trip to Grand Canyon

DH, DD (1 y.o.), and I will be heading to the Grand Canyon (from Southern CA) in a few weeks. We're wondering where to stay, where to eat, what to see (in the area, besides the Grand Canyon), etc.

Any tips/advice/suggestions?
