I am 5'1" and every where I look no one sells fitness wear made for petite sizes. Does anyone know of a company that does????

Julie,
are you looking for casual clothes or formal wear?
I know that most malls have a Petite store or two (I think one's called Petite Sophisticated....or something like that) in addition to the line Filene's, Sears, JC Penney's, Macy's, etc. have in petite.
Also, many mail catalogs (also on line) have petite sections, i.e. Newport News, Chadwicks, etc.
HTH,

Sports wear to work out in. I know stores that have petite stuff but no work out wear there to be found. Darn these short legs. I hate hemming. Does that make me lazy???

Sorry Julie, I didn't read your post correctly. I guess I'm more tired than I thought (don't get much sleep these days)! LOL

Two words - VICTORIA'S SECRET!!! Okay, so you have to order online or by catalog, but their petite yoga pants fit my BF perfectly (she's 5') and she wears them to run. I don't know about the rest of the line, but they do send a pre-paid return label if it doesn't work. HTH!

Julie,

I'm in the same situation. I'm 5'4 and all of those pants are so long on me. All these girls at the gym have such cute things but I try them on and they look HORRID! One girl told me she rolls the top of her pants down, but I was thinking of getting a pair of exercise pants and having them shortened. Crazy, huh!

I have that same problem - I'm 5'3 on a good day. I started looking at exercise/yoga pants in cropped and capri lengths. So far, I've had pretty good luck with them. My favorite pair right now are my Champion Balance pants that I got from Costco.

HTH...

I just noticed that the Lands End catalog has active wear in petite sizes. Thought I'd pass it along!

I second this. I'm 5'2" and I buy from Lands End. LL Bean also has sports stuff in petites - yoga pants etc.

I get a catalog from a company called Athleta which has really cute fitness wear, some of which is offered with shorter inseams. I've never ordered any-it's kind of pricey-I can't bring myself to spend that much until I lose the weight I want!
