Hi everybody! I am only at 26 weeks and while trying not to be negative, if genes really do play such an important part in whether or not you'll get stretch marks, then I must say that they are in my future! So...thinking ahead - I was just curious, is anybody noticing changes in their stretch marks as they lose weight? Diminishing in size or anything like that? Wishful thinking on my part, but hopefully it's true!

Would love to hear any input!

They eventually fade so they are not so noticeable. The redness goes away. This happens whether you lose weight or not. After my first, I actually kept gaining weight for about 10 years, but the stretchmarks faded.

i didn't get stretch marks, and my mom did... so it is possible!

My stretch marks haven't faded with losing weight. However I have put on a bathing suit that wasn't high cut, but still no skirt, and the marks weren't that noticible. I consider them a badge of honor.
