I wanted to lose weight and I would like to try either pilates or yoga. Does anybody have any suggestions on a vhs or dvd? Thanks.

I love Yoga for Weight Loss with Susanne Deason. It's great! Any of Ana Caban's pilates videos are good. Another suggestion... New York City Ballet video. That is one of my favorites. Also, check out a beginner bellydancing video. I like the dance videos because you don't feel as much like you're working out. I am a Pilates instructor, and even I sometimes don't feel like doing Pilates. HTH!

If you're not back in shape yet, I'd highly recommend Rainbeau Mars' DVD or VHS Yoga tapes (Vinyassa Flow series, 4 dvd's in the set.) Instructor has a true gift for explaining the moves as you do them. I own A LOT of yoga tapes, and these are the all around best.

If you're in reasonable shape, try Ali McGraw's Yoga Mind and Body DVD/VHS. More challenging than one listed above and very enjoyable scenery.
