View Full Version : Pilates vs. Yoga: which one?

I go to the gym 3x a week and wish to add two sessions of yoga/pilates to my week. Which should I choose?

I wish to tone my body particularly my arms and abs. Which is better?
I'm 5lbs away from my pre-preg weight but my body is all "floppy" :-)

I've never done either, but maybe a good way to check would be to drop in to a couple of each class?

My first inclination would be pilates, but the one yoga class I ever took left me sore like crazy, so who knows?

I agree with what Petra said about checking out a class of each, but Pilates is great for core strength in your abs as well as other body parts too.

It helps to create strong, yet flexible muscles.
