I know that Desitin is a no-no because of the staining. I would like something I can get locally for rashes.
Also, I have a bunch of A & D because that is what we have been using as a protectant. Is that okay to use or will it stain also?

I have not used it myself, but I have read elsewhere that it is OK. I would try a small amount first and see what happens.

I use A&D (the original, not the one with zinc oxide in it) and have not had any problems. I also use Aquaphor and its generic version (Eckerd) with no problems, but I like the smell of A&D a lot.

I've tried A & D with zinc oxide with no problem. Aveeno, J & J with zinc oxide, Aquaphor, Burt's Bees and Weleda also work well with CDs.
