Don't you know it! I'm just not sure if the kool aid isn't going to bleed and if the soaker will not leak. I'm probably going to have to do my first lanolizing, but I'm procrastinating that part. Maybe tomorrow's naptime!

It was so much fun though. I'm on the hunt for more cheap covers now.

Leave it in a vinegar rinse overnight...that should set the colors in.......HTH

Oh, SOOO cute!! Great colors!!! I have some hand knit soakers that are koolaid dyed and they bleed during the first few washes. The interesting thing is that the soaker itself still looks gorgeous, not faded. The color just gets a little softer.

Good job!! :)

I love the colors and the final look of the soaker! I'm hoping my MIL will knit some soakers for ds when she comes to visit. I have too many newborn and small covers and can't really justify buying a soaker, but if she made some, they would be so cheap I wouldn't have to feel guilty :) I'll have to try the kool-aid thing myself.

Very nice!!! I have heard people using kool-aid to dye ME one-size diapers. I will have to try that. Your soaker looks awesome.

Thanks everyone! It's a New Zealand Wool Soaker. 'heytoostey', I've heard kool aid dying does not work on non-animal fabrics, so you might want to try it out with something you don't care about first. I was told it will "Stain" them, but they will fade a lot.
