I did my first batch of Kool Aid dye last night - and my second is brewing right now! This is soooo much fun, and so easy - I can't wait to get back to the grocery store and pick our next "flavor"!

I'll post pictures after the yarn has dried! But as a hint, I did one batch of Changing Cherry and one batch of Grape (with some secret ingredients of my own).

Here's the site I used for instructions:

There must be Kool-Aid in the air!! I did my first batches this morning. I tried all the different methods on this site:

It was so easy and fun, fun, fun!!!

Edited to add: Here's a link to the yarn I did today. The yellow and orange don't look veyr bright, but in real life, they are much more vivid, espcecially the orange.

Can you kool-aid dye a bumpy wool? I'm guessing an Aristocrat would be a good candidate for kool-aid.

TIA

Yep, yep, yep - anything 100% wool will work! I'm not sure how the velcro section will look on the Bumpy wool (probably won't take the dye) but as long as you plan for that, it should still look good!

Reminds me, I have a dingy Bumpy wool that I could dye... I'm out of wool until tomorrow (waiting for the weekly Michael's coupon) and could use a Kool Aid fix tonight...

I want to do this too!! Does anyone have pictures of their dyed Bumpy's? And any links to directions for how to make designs?

If it does this to wool, what does it do to our insides??

Lori, you have come a long way girl! I am impressed and I would love to see a picture when it dries ok? Are you thinking of becoming a WAHM and selling products? Just curious ....
