non-pul trainers?

Bella has been using the cloth trainers for nighttime and naptime for about a month and we are ver happy with them. Except I am concerned that they are going to be too hot in the summer. They are the happy heiny pocket trainers which I believe are PUL. Are there any trainers that are cooler? Could I buy the wool soakers( the ones that look like shorts?) and just lay a hemp prefold in them?

Here's an idea for the summer - try the Gerber type cotton training pants with something hemp inside for extra absorbancy topped off with a wool soaker - should keep Bella nice and dry.

Can the hemp be near her skin? Or do I need fleece over it?
I actually have some of those trainers packed away. Good idea to get them out.

Yes, she can have hemp next to her skin, but for nighttime - definitely add a piece of fleece so any wetness won't wake her up :)
