I am due in June and ready to stock up on diapers. I planned on using an eco-friendly brand, such as Nature Boy and Girl or 7th Generation, however the smallest size for both brands starts at 8 lbs. If I deliver a 6 or 7 pounder, won't these diapers be huge? Anyone with any experience diapering a baby under 8 lbs with these brands?
Thanks for any advice,
Michelle

Never used Nature b&g on a newborn however last year I used small sized Tushies on my baby and they fit... however he was 9lbs 3oz at birth. You can order newborn size in that brand but I think they run pretty small (and aren't that absorbant). I do believe 7th Gen smalls will be huge on a tiny baby. Tushies makes a superabsorbant diaper now but it doesn't seem like they come in nb size (I have yet to see them in a store).
Hope someone has some more info for you. I wasn't of much help!
They won't be that huge. You can just fold over the top of the diaper and/or lower the tabs a bit. This is what I did when I bought the wrong size for Nate.
