Anybody hear back about your Monkey troubles?

Rashmi, Anna, anybody else who emailed Lark about issues? I was just wondering who all has emailed and who hasn't heard back.

I posted at diaperpin and my review keeps getting truncated :( But, do you suppose I should cut and paste that review and post with Anna's at MDC? Is that kosher to leave the same review in two different places?

Well, I haven't heard from her since she made me that offer of paying her $40 for a new cover! But that's partly because I didn't respond, because I wasn't sure how to respond! I would be interested in hearing if anyone else has heard from her yet, especially Rashmi.

Your post at diaperpin will get truncated if it's more than 2000 characters long. If you paste your review into word, you can do a word count to figure out how many characters it is (including spaces). Then you can combine paragraphs, or abbreviate words to decrease the number of characters until it's less than 2000 words.

As for leaving the same review in two different places, I've never read the reviews at MDC, whereas I read the ones on Diaperpin. While they may both get some of the same viewers, I'm sure there are some who hang out at one and not the other. IMO, it would probably be okay to leave the same review in two different places. But I'll see what everyone else has to say.

And incidentally, I guess I can't post a review at MDC because I've never posted there, correct? Even if it's part of Anna's thread?

Mmm, I don't know what the mdc guidelines are about posting a review. If I read of anything, I'll let you know.

Oh, the truncation...I did write it in Word and did a character count too! I thought I was right at the limit but I guess not :( So, I edited and re-edited and will have to do some more editing so that I can get the last part of that last sentence there.

As for the truncation, I noticed this time that Word does a character count with and without spaces. So I was conservative and included the spaces because I wasn't sure how Diaperpin counted their characters.

I have not heard back from her!!! This is outrageous. I think she has packed up her belongings and run for the hills. All this monkey talk must have made her batty.

I still have to post a review on diaperpin and MDC. I wish she would reply. Should we wait for a week and then email her links to the reviews.. or is that vindictive.. i guess that is vindictive.. but if i were in business, i would like to hear what others are saying about me and present my side of the story.

Nope, and that really ticks me off. I will buy paypal's protection the next time I deal with an unknown seller. Grr! I wonder if there's still a way to complain through paypal...

Rashmi, I wonder if "where" (if at all) she is connected to the on-line cloth diaper world. That is, I wonder if she is a poster or member of any of the active diaper boards we know about. I know there are others than MDC but it seems like a WAHM who has the ambition of cornering the diapering market ought to at least post somewhere! Where do you guys think she might post?

I just tried the new cover on Finn again and it actually fits much better than some of those pics you all have shared. Well, at least over a Sugarpeas, that is. When I had it over a LC it's fit was not great at all.

I emailed Lark about the broken snap and got a response the next day. She told me to mail the cover back to her but did not offer to cover shipping. I didn't even bother mentioning the other things wrong because I knew I wouldn't get anything out of her. Anna, I saw your review on MDC! I'm going to post a review after I get the cover back.

The MDC rules are 3 mos membership and 50 posts before you can post a review - same as rules ofr the TP there :( I suppose it's to discourage trolling but it sure is annoying! If you try to post without the mods will send you a PM and not post your message. :(

As for whether to point her towards the links, I'd say not. SImply because she doens't seem very ethical and I wonder if she wouldn't then just get friends (or what few satisfied customers she might have) to post rebuttals or positive reviews? I'd say that 90% of the CDing mamas read either MDC or diaperpin and will see your posts and be steered clear of her business. I've never seen her advertise or post at either of those places, so I bet she doesn't know about or pay attention to them. That, in itself, is kind of digging her own grave, IMHO!

Oh, I just read the review on MDC, and Anna might want to add the URL; it's missing, and I've never heard that WAHM mentioned there before so I doubt anyone will know who she is without the URL.

I see you have already dug up that she is a minister! Honestly, my gut feeling is that she is a nice old lady. Beth (her daughter) actually runs the biz.. her mom (Lark) does the sewing. And i believe there is someone else who does marketing/sales.
