Every once in a while, DS's bum crack cracks - only a little bit, but it bleeds and is big enough to make him cry when we change his diaper. It doesn't appear to bother him except at diaper changes, or if he's been in a poopy diaper for longer than usual (15 min, tops).
MIL says that the same thing happened to DH when he was a baby, and that even after he was potty-trained it happened. DH was in CDs, though, so it was much worse for him. MIL doesn't know for sure, but she thinks it lead to the many stool-holding issues that DH had until he was about 8 years old...
Has anyone had this happen to their DC? How can I treat it, and how can I prevent it?
