How do I use my FM nightlites

I got a Nightlite at yesterdays stocking, I want to convince my dh that we can CD at night. But, I don't know how to make it work best. How do you use yours? What kind of cover works best?

I find that an Aristocrat wool cover works best with our overnight diapers (Nightlites included) or a cashmere oatmeal Kiwi pie cover (impossible to get!!).
