DH seems to have finally lost our last Snappi, so of course DS leaked poo on our only wool cover that sort of fits so far. And DH threw it in the diaper pail, so I only just discovered it when I was doing laundry -- at least 24 hours later, now.

(Don't get me started on the "Dear, take the inserts out of the pockets BEFORE you put them in the pail" issue. Having just emptied them as I put them in the wash -- now that they've had plenty of time to sit and get nasty -- I'm just repeating to myself, "Every diaper he changes is one I don't have to." I'm thinking of hanging a sign over the changing table to remind him.)

So, how do I clean this without damaging the cover?

Oh, boy. Well, if it's dried off, I believe ... Pam? Anna? I don't remmeber who, but she used an old toothbrush to gently scrape it off. If it were still wet, I might try spraying it off with my minishower. I might even consider spraying most of it off, then letting it dry and brushing with the toothbrush. Is it really a lot?

Anyway, just make sure you label the toothbrush the poopbrush, or you may find yourself (or DH) gagging later! ;-)

First blast it with a minishower. Usually if I catch the stain right away, the minishower does the trick. Next, take DH's toothbrush }( and gently try brushing with baby shampoo.

If the poo is crusted on, you can use a dry brush to flick it away.

Good luck!!
