Yay! Caleb did it - pee'd in the potty for the first time yesterday after nap then again today when he got up. He woke up dry both times so it was an obvious choice to sit him down for a while (and I do MEAN a WHILE!! He was content to sit there half an hour both times before he went, but he didn't want to get up). Guess I'd better start lurking more on the toddler butts board to get more tips on this stuff. I have tons of questions.....
Yay for my boy :-)

Thanks Kris and Pam :) He's done it 4 times now (after nap and making up only so far).

It's funny but as I was telling DH about the achievement the other day he said "So where do we go from here?" (ie: how do we train for other times) and suddenly I realized that I had NO CLUE! It's the little things that make you realize that just when you think you've got parenting down pat, you really know nothing. I guess that's what keeps it interesting :)

That's funny. I hope you get help from the Toddler Board. Wouldn't it be nice to not have 2 in diapers for long?

wow! Good joby Caleb. Good thing you've got another little bug on the way so your CD days aren't almost over. We'd sure miss you around here.

Yay!!! Congratulations, Caleb! I guess he knew that those diapers were going to turn pink soon... ;-) Hopefully the toddler board will be able to help you. Kaya has pooped in the potty a few times and peed once, but it was always accidental--I put her on there to just sit right after feeding her and managed to "catch" those times. She still has no idea what the potty's for, but I figure I'll just get her used to sitting on the thing. Can't hurt right? :) I'm impressed that he sat on the potty for 30 minutes each time!

Good job, Caleb!

We've done the same thing, here. We've caught 3 or 4 pees a day for the past week. No poop though. I put him on it when I go and he's in need of a diaper change. I try to time it for about 20 minutes after a nursing. I know exactly when he's pooping, but haven't been fast enough to get him on it yet. He likes to sit on the potty.

Congratulations. Check out Elimination Communication forum for some ideas on where to go from here. I've recently discovered it and although I find some of the things a bit too much for my taste you'd get a lot of potty tips. Here's the link.
