Originally, I thought we'd just use disposable wipes while out, but now, I'm thinking of converting...
At home, all of out wipes are kept dry, and I keep a spray bottle with a homemade solution at the changing area. I spray his bottom, and wipe him dry.It seems like too much to take a spray bottle with me when we go out.

what do you all do?

I actually just keep a water bottle of wipes solution in my diaper bag. For me, it's easy enough to do that. But an alternative is that you can keep a small wetbag of wipes soaked in your solution. I have a small wetbag from SEZ that works well for that, if I wanted to do that. There are lots of small wetbags out there that could do the same thing.

What's the smallest size spray bottle that you've seen? We usually travel pretty light, so I don't want to be taking up a ton of room in my diaper bag with a spray bottle. I'd want to try to find a really small one.
If you take pre-soaked wipes woth you, how does that work then: you would need one wet bag for clean, soaked wipes, and another one for dirty wipes, right?

Happy birthday Kaya!

I would pre-wet them and put them in one of those hard-cases made for disposable wipes.

I use a small wet bag and stick wet wipes in it. It works pretty well. You do have to remember to take them out if they aren't used, or they get a bit musty smelling.

Hmm...I haven't really looked for a small spray bottle, but my spray lanolin comes in a really tiny bottle, so I bet if you went to a place like Bed Bath & Beyond or maybe Target, you'd be able to find some small spray bottles. I just use a water bottle, but maybe I'll look for a spray bottle next time I'm at the appropriate store. It sure would be easier than unscrewing a cap each time I wanted to change her diapers! I do have an extra peri bottle that I used to keep in my diaper bag, but Kaya took it to use as a drinking bottle, so I can't keep wipes solution in it anymore.

For pre-soaked wipes, I would just use one small wet bag for clean, soaked wipes and then dump the wipes in to the wetbag for the diapers. I always wash my wipes with my diapers, so it doesn't matter.

Thanks for the B-day wishes!

Although the Baby Bits solution really helps to minimize mustiness. But yes, this is the reason I don't bother with presoaked wipes--because I just don't change her outside the house often enough.

Target has some really tiny spray bottles (about 3" tall), with caps on them, in their travel toiletries section, for under a dollar. I use them for hairspray in my purse, but would work well for wipe solution too I'm sure.

thanks for all the ideas. I'm going to order one of those bags with 2 compartments from happy tushies. I'll look for a small spray bottle at Target, but I also found this:

http://www.specialtybottle.com/index.asp?PageAction=Custom&ID=20

They sell 2 oz, 4 oz, and 8 oz spray bottles (atomizers) with caps for under $1.00. I'll check out target first, because I feel a little stupid ordering something for under a dollar online and paying 3.85 shipping.... KWIM?

But in case I can't find anything locally, then I'll get something like this.

Okay, off to pick a fabric for my happy tushies.... maybe lilac plaid?

Wow, that's actually a great link. I've been meaning to get some spray bottles of various sizes (as soon as I sit down and figure out exactly how many I need) so I can make a bunch of safe household cleaners. This gives me an incentive to sit down and figure it out so I can trow in a couple of atomizers for my babybits solution. Thanks!
