Is the BBB Swap board the best BB place to find used cloth diapers? Any other good recommendations for used dipes (other than MDC Trading Post)? Specifically, I am looking for used CPF.

Second, do many of you CD mamas change your babies in the bathroom? I am just wondering how the mini shower is useful unless you are right by the toilet. Even if you put baby down somewhere, then go swish or rinse the diaper, doesn't that mean a lot more time spent getting the diaper taken care of then with a disposable?

There's a huge board called diaperswap - it's got lots of folks on it (~1200). I've never bought anything there, but I sold a big pile of dipes there within about a hour of listing them!

I don't change DD in the bathroom, but it's much easier now with only one poop per day. I find it about the same amount of work as sposies, since I have to go wash my hands either way.

Yup, Diaperswap is one of the other big boards--it actually gets far more traffic than BBBSwap.

And yes, I change Kaya in the bathroom. Her bedroom isn't big enough for a changing table with the guest bed in there. Her changing table happens to be on the floor in the corner right next to the diaper pails, toilet, and minishower. It's quite convenient. After changing her, I usually lay the diaper on the pail while I dress her and then put her in her play area or let her crawl around the bathroom (which has probably been scrubbed on a daily basis for the last week) while I clean up the diaper. It's not that big a deal and it's part of my routine.

I have bought several things on diaper swap. There is a little non-diaper traffic there but MOSTLY dipes so it's easier to find what you're looking for IMO.

We change on a table in DS's bedroom, or the floor if he's being particularly squirmy.

Yes, the poopy dipes take a few more minutes to deal with than a sposie, but to me a minute or two is worth it to not be hauling giant bags of smelly sposies to the garbage can. I just ordered my minishower after a couple of weeks of nasty peanut butter poo and dunking, I'm looking forward to getting it! He just plays while I'm dealing with his diaper. He only poops a couple of times a day, though, the wet ones just go straight into the pail so that's not a second longer.

Our bathroom isn't big enough to change DS in it. I change him in his room. I pull out the fleece liner, which is generally the only part with poop on it, and stick it in a small basket while I get him dressed. I then put him either on the floor on in his crib while I take the liner to the bathroom and dump the poop. We don't mini-shower here.

I don't think it's more time. I'd have to go to the bathroom either way to wash my hands.

Regarding the poop part, we spend the same time with a cloth dipe as with a disposable since we dump the poop in the toilet for both. And have to go to the bathroom to wash our hands, anyways. We change Colin in his room; the bathroom is down the hall.

For buying and selling, I've also had great success at diaperpin.com boards
