Want to try out my new Nighttime Starbunz tonight - what to double it with?

I have the doubler that it comes with - but it doesn't look very substantial? Linda is sending me a different type of super-soaker double to try out, but I do not have that yet. I have some LJ's on order, so those are out. All I have currently for stuffers/doublers are JB's, Cottonbabies and CPF's.

If you use these at night - what works well for you? I have a super-soaker, mostly tummy sleeper (when she's not thrashing all around in our bed!) here.

I have used only her fleece one for nights. Is your Nighttime Fleece or PUL? My fleece (chameleon) has a sewn in soaker, but it didn't come with a doubler (it was a second). It's pretty bulky, but I usually put a LJ night & microfiber towel. It's probably overkill though. Let's see...with what you have, I would try a Cottonbabies and a JB. The fleece nighttime cover with the sewn-in hemp soaker is pretty substantial, so I think with one more hemp soubler and a cotton babies (plus a fleece liner), it would be sufficient. If she's a stomach sleeper, I would be tempted to fold the JB in half and put it in the front of the diaper. If I recall correctly, the JB's aren't too thick, so that should work.

It is a fleece nighttime dipe and yes the sewn in hemp soaker seems very thick. I'll try what you suggested - plus add a waterproof cover to our mattress! Thanks!

Let me know how it works. So which one did you get? They are too thick for day time use, but they are awfully cute, aren't they? :)

I got the bear nighttime and strawberry hemp lined regular one. Couldn't use it last night since it wasn't dry when Olivia was ready to go to bed. Will use it tonight.

She had it on for about 12.5 hours and no leaks - used the insert that it came with and a JB. I bought a large and with it snapped at the tightest setting the legs are a little loose and I could feel a little dampness around the fleece binding on one of the legs this morning - it didn't leak out onto PJ's or bed though. One word though: BULKY! Much more than a FB with 3 inserts in it. She didn't seem to mind though - walked just fine with it on - just had lots of extra junk in the trunk as DH says!!!!

So I ordered a couple Apron Strings dipes yesterday - a fleece windpro and a cute PUL AIO. I've GOT to stop the insanity now.

Hee, hee, sounds like fun. Yes, Kaya doesn't seem too concerned by a big diaper butt. Now that she's learning how to cruise and let go, she tends to sit down hard a lot. She can do that without a diaper and sometimes I think it jars her a little. So I figure that the diaper just helps cushion her fall. :) In general, though, I've decided that all cloth solutions that work for my super soaker overnight has be to be on the bulky side.
