We got our first pair of longies today. I haven't been using my fitteds enough because I haven't found a cover I love and DS needs to have pants on in our house, it's not quite warm enough to go around without.

BUT.... I was hoping the color was a little more blue, even though it was advertised as purple. Any thoughts on this for a boy? He will mostly wear around the house so it's me that will see them and I don't particularly care but I don't want DH to freak out, he is going to think they are strange enough (although he is finally putting pockets on DS when he changes him... yay!

These are from Green Mountain Wee Woolies. I don't have any comparison but they seem really nice. The closeup is truer to color than the full length.

So... ok for a boy? Honest opinions... I will sell on swap if everyone thinks they are too girly:)

I think they are beautiful! Purple is the color of royalty, and it's my DH's favorite color. We don't understand how purple became associated with "girly"! He's a little guy, and those look gorgeous on him! I think you should keep them! :)

Green is my favorite color so that combo is our favorite around here! :)

Thanks, Holli. I really do like them... and mostly he will wear them while DH is at work. (DS's grandparents call him the Crown Prince -- first and possibly only grandchild on both sides -- so the royalty thing is apt:)

BTW, I have been meaning to PM you, do you have web pictures of your full stash? I have been following your posts and I would love to see what you have built up for your beautiful Mari!

I think they're fine. They might not be my first choice, but that's more due to the variegated yarn than the color (and is a personal opinion). I think the purple is dark enough to be a boy color.

Um, they are frightfully girly. You should strip them off him. But don't waste time posting on the swap--just send them to us! ;)

They look great--green and purple are neutrals. Just put on a camo t-shirt or some monster truck applique and you're all set! :)

Wow, gorgeous! I think it's absolutely wonderful for him! But if your DH freaks out, they would go perfect on DD. ;-)
