View Full Version : Eileen - what do you put over your Nightdreamers?

I won two Fluff Factory auctions, a day/night set and a single nightdreamer. I am finally ready to try nighttime despite DH's reservations. About half the time these days DS's Huggies Overnight is not completely full.

What do you put over? I was thinking an Aristocrat, but I like the style of this:

Any other ideas? Right now the only wool cover I have is a SugarPeas merino. I am expecting some recycled wool longies from reusabums that are "night weight" as well, but DS is accustomed to sleeping in a fleece footed sleeper so that might be too much of a change, so I think I need something I can get under his sleeper. His sleepers are pretty roomy, we just sized up for his torso so I *think* I can get a thick wool cover under, but I'm open to other suggestions.

Thanks!

I do use the Aristocrat, because it can literally fit over any diaper that she has. However, the one that you posted looks like it would work just fine as well. I also use a heavy weight fleece cover from Cosmic Baby Shop as backup. it works pretty well.

Instead of a sleeper, I put Kaya in a sleep sack, which has plenty of room for night cloth.

HTH!

Thanks. I wish I hadn't gone away from the Sleep Sacks last spring, I don't think I could put DS in a sleep sack. We had problems with his room being too hot last summer so he slept in very light pj's all summer (should have bought cotton sleep sacks!) I'm hoping I can get the cd bundle under his new sleepers!

Happy belated Birthday to Kaya!

Yes, this winter Kaya has been using fleece sleep sacks with just a cotton shirt, but for naps, with the sun warming up her room a little more, she just uses a cotton sleep sack. Fortunately, the cotton sleep sacks are larger than the fleece sacks. She's about to outgrow her fleece sacks soon, which is good because winter is almost over. If you do a search for "sleep sacks" in this forum, there was a recent thread about affordable sleep sacks. I bet you could find some cotton ones that aren't as expensive as the Halo ones (although I really like the halo ones for a newborn because they zip downwards, so I can change the newborn in the middle of the night without having to completely unzip the sack).

Thanks for the birthday wishes. :)
