Everyone that doesn't hate Applix, run and buy these, they are wonderful!

http://www.angeldrydiapers.com/store/

I got a Wool Interlock and a fleece cover. The wool was so soft and stretchy, yet thicker than jersey, I put it on him for nighttime, right out of the mailing envelope.

DH said it wasn't even damp in the morning, but his dipe (happy hempy with cottonbabies insert) was soaked.

The interlock is extremely stretchy, and makes for a very trim fit. I like the fit of the fleece, too, very trim. I have a single layer windpro cover.

One warning for anyone not accustomed to fold over elastic (FOE) binding. The velcro can catch it in the wash if you don't use the laundry tabs, so use the tabs! Of course, the wool is washed by hand, so not a big risk.

I want to buy another, but can't really justify it. I want one with purple trim!

WOOHOO!!

Thanks for the review, Tarah. Mine should be on the way soon - I added a fleece cover to my order, too. {insert happy dance} I'm getting dark green binding on the wool, and red on the fleece.

So - you didn't need to lanolize the wool?

On a related note - since I'm a wool newbie - can I use my leftover Lansinoh to lanolize? I know you're not supposed to use Woolite. But how about Dr. Bronners or plain castile soap to wash? Or do I have get Euclan or some other wool specific stuff?

TIA

The interlock has plenty of lanolin in it out of the package. Whenever it starts to seem "not so fresh" or gets poo'd on, its time to wash. You can wash in a wool wash, like Eucalan (LMK if you want some, I keep getting 2oz sample bottles, but I use liquid WOW, so its just sitting around), which has lanolin in it. No additional lanolin is probably needed, since Neel isn't a heavy wetter. If you wash in Eucalan, and the cover seems sweaty on the outside after a pee, you can lanolize as below.

You can also wash in baby shampoo, and I think Anna posted instructions for homemade wool wash with lanolin that included Dr. Bronners last week? If you wash in baby shampoo or soap, I'd soak the cover in tepid water with a tad of soap, then rinse with tepid water, then lanolize.

To lanolize, just heat up 1/2 in of lansinoh with a bit of water and a drop of soap in the microwave, add this to a sink of tepid water, then add the cover, and soak. Don't rinse (you want the lanolin to hang out) just squeeze the water out (I roll mine in a towel), and hang to dry.

Thanks! Found Anna's instructions. Though, if you remember to bring the Eucalan next month, I won't turn it down! :)

Thanks so much for the review! I am so glad I ordered one of these. I got one in medium with the purple interlock (sorry, T), but if it turns out to be too small, she'll make me a large one. But I am SOOOO glad you and Nita suggested this cover and am now excited to try it! She sent it out in the mail Wednesday, so it should be here soon!

So...pictures? :)

So - how many of us ordered covers? I don't even remember how I stumbled on Steph's site - maybe Diaperpin?

I want that monkey WIO that Trish found sooooooo much. Never quite felt this way about a dipe before. Maybe if I sell off enough other stuff . . . . :)

Hee hee, I know what you mean about the monkey WIO! It would be so perfect on Kaya! I'm trying to sell off stuff, but I keep end up trading for other stuff or finding some other used stuff rather than for PP. At least I'm getting some front-snapping diapers out of the deal, so that's good (Thanks, Angie and Amy). :)

Ooooh, I like these with the lycra in them too! Do you think they would fit skinny Ryan's little thighs? I know that Forrey has thunder thighs. :)

What size did you get him, btw?

I got a medium and I think it'll fit perfectly. What you could do is contact Steph (she's really really nice) and give her Ryan's measurements and see if she could recommend a size.

Yeah, that's what I will do. I did see her say on the site about skinny toddlers doing well in a medium.

Oooh, a new wool to suck me back in when I was just about to give up on it. :)

Fory has a pretty high rise, so I got a large, and the tabs are overlapping, with a daytime diaper. I think a Medium would have worked also, they are so stretchy!
