So far, only my Ella's fleece pocket stuffed with that amazing towel (Thanks Eileen!!) has kept Gunnar dry all night. I MUST HAVE MORE FLEECE POCKETS RIGHT AWAY!! Can you sense my desperation? I can't find Ella's fleece pockets anywhere, so I was looking at the Apronstrings website and I don't know what to buy.

Windpro? 200 wieght? Polar fleece? I'm so confused. I wish I knew what my Ella's is made of, because I'd just buy that kind. I don't really mind that it's on the bulky side. I am just so excited that we got a full night's sleep last night, I can barely type this!!

Any other fleece pockets out there? I see that Drybees has some, but I thought they were a tad expensive, and she has none instock, only custom orders right now.

Aren't fleece pockets great?! I love them.

My ApronStrings are all 200 weight. I haven't had a leak yet overnight, but DS is currently a pretty light wetter, even overnight. Windpro won't be as breathable as 200 or 300 weight. Some time ago, either Rashmi or Eileen posted descriptions of all the weights. I have to run now, but I'll look for that thread later, if you don't find it first!

All my fleece pockets, including those from ASBT, are made from Malden Mills 200 wt. Polar Fleece. I decided against Windpro considering that we are going into summer and Polar Fleece is just fine for my light-to-medium wetter. We did not have any leeks :) with them ever since I figured out with the help of ladies from this board what to stuff them with. Also, my custom Snapping Turtles fleece pocket has MM 100 wt Polar Fleece on the inside. IMHO it's better than microfleece at keeping DS' skin completely dry, without even so much as a hint of clamminess :D. If you'd be getting custom order from ASBT Becca would be more than happy to line your pockets with MM 100 wt fleece. Try Sea Life print, it's gourgeous IRL.

I am planning to list a medium size applix ApronString fleece pocket in Aztec/Native American Bunnies on the swap. Email me at kozachka at sbcglobal dot net if you are interested. It was used maybe 4 times since it ended up being too short for my boy in the rise.

Michele, for the Apronstrings fleece pocket you can get it by e-mailing Rebecca Reilly directly. I've e-mailed you her address. Her pockets are quite reasonably priced and she'll probably make some for you. Just tell her I sent you. ;-)

As for what works, the 300wt works just fine for night time for Kaya. I also have 200 wt ones, but I reserve those for day time, although supposedly, if you stuff them appropriately, you don't get leaks (the staccinator fleece covers are made of 200 wt. You could also use windpro fleece, but I don't like the feel of them and I THINK they might be a tad less breathable than the 200 or 300 wt, but don't quote me on that one!

Hope this helps, and I'm glad you were able to find something that works!

What is the diff in feel? Is 200 wt thinner than 300wt? Or is it like wire gauge, and the higher the number, the thinner?

I believe i have all 200wt (i might be wrong) and they work great at night!!! I stuff with two cottonbabies inserts.

The 200wt is a little thinner. I think my 200wt would actually work for Kaya unless there was a lot of compression and she really soaked the inserts (which she often does, but she doesn't get compression in bed). But since I have 2 of the 300 wt ones I just use them for night time.

You can e-mail Ellen at kdkiner at adsnet dot com. She did not have fleece in stock :( a month ago when I placed my order but made some dipes for Nita and I from the fleece I bought from www.fabric.com (they offer free shipping on the first order and have MM 200 and 100 wt in stock). There is also a 12% coupon through Apr. 20. 2005.

Her dipes fit 18-30 pounds but she might be able to adjust them to fit smaller if you need. She is very flexible . ST regular design (see http://www.snappingturtlepocketdiapers.com/store/) did not work well for my DS so she made us two dipes in FB style. DS is 22.5 lbs, 33". FB style tester in ProCare fit DS perfectly but because fleece stretches we have to use our pockets on a snap-over snap. I wish they were cut smaller to take this into consideration. I like the fit of medium long ASBT fleece pocket best on my tall and slender DS.

A word of caution, ST dipes ended up costing me just over $11/dipe ppd, not counting $6 for a tester that I hope to resell. E-mails and choosing fabric took fair amount of time and trouble. A lot of people would say it's not worth it but I enjoy having things 'just right' ;). And I think MM 100 wt polar fleece keeps my DS drier than regular microfleece. So it was probably worth the trouble.
