We are still using our FB's for outings, but today DS has a rash on his boy parts... is it because he's too hot in the PUL? He has occasionally had a bit of rash there and it usually goes away quickly. What temp do you find you need to stop using your PUL?

It might also be the fleece. My DS gets rashes from fleece and PUL, and they are worse when it's hot. I know other moms use fleece in the summer without problems, so it probably depends on your DC's skin.

I'm already finding out that fleece is giving Kaya rashes when we go out (it's been in the 80's here--what happened to Spring?!!). So I agree with MommyJ that it could be both PUL and fleece. PUL started giving DD rashes around April or May of last year. That's when I first switched over to wool. So I think it depends on your child and how prone they are to rashes.

I agree, he's probably too hot. When it hits about 75-80 degrees I stop putting Josh in anything with PUL or fleece outer's. He gets a red rash in the creases of his thighs/leg joint, and on his penis.
We are using sugarpeas hemp dipes with wool jersey covers or Bummis nylon covers here with great sucess. It is 85 degrees today! Yipee!
