So I kept Gunner in cd's all weekend and LOVED it. Just ipfs and different covers - none that are exciting.
Tday I had to have my knee drained due to my arthritis acting up. So in the midst of the horribly painful experince I asked DH if I could get a wool cover :) and what could he say?
So I get to treat myself to an expensive diaper - now what do I get or do I wait for some really cool stocking?
keep in mind gunner is 3 months so i dont know if i should also wait until he is a bit bigger.
but i figured this will keeo me amused while resting

What about a Firefly Easy Wool cover? Formerly known as Fuz Easy, they're supposed to be fabulous. The mediums are supposed to fit for a while, and they come in fabulous colors. You don't have to stalk them, but they're supposed to be very high quality. You do have to call to order. (And I want to hear your review because I've been soooo tempted to order one pretty much for the past 19 months!) http://www.fireflydiapers.com/diapercovers_easywool.htm

If you really want to splurge, there's the Fuz Bomb. Made by the same WAHM. I think the Fuz Easys are supposed to be stretchier though. http://www.fuzbaby.com/covers.htm

oh how exciting...just ask the folks to put an extra snap on them so you can milk the size longer...

i am soooo not a diaper guru but my choice would be a kiwipie (but heard they are hard to get now- but gorgeous stuff)...or a very special wooleybumbums...she does super dooper very custom designs...
both of these gals I had never heard of when I placed my order with them but I think now are popular so it might not be the same...

I don't have their websites off hand but they are their names I think- check diaperpin.com if not...

keep us posted :)

Kiwi Pies are *impossible* to get! You have to be a major hyena. I think she stocks on Hyena Cart now--join her yahoo group for emails as to when she's going to stock. http://www.kiwipie.com/store/Default.asp

Sarah at http://www.woolybumbums.com/ does beautiful applique work. She's got some things in stock and also stocks at Hyena Cart.

Both WAHMs are so nice. I've never managed to snag a Kiwi though! I had a question and she answered it quickly.

Maria (Kiwi Pie) has actually taken a small break lately. She just sent a note to her group a few weeks ago that she was not going to be stocking anything soon. I think she is doing some special auctions, etc. but nothing announced yet.

I honestly think KP are not that difficult to get if you're on her list. She rotates how she stocks, sometimes on hyena cart, sometimes un-announced through her store, sometimes through the Yahoo group, sometimes just to KP virgins. I think she is one of the most innovative stocking WAHMs! I've actually sold several of them that I decided weren't going to work for us (sizing and colors). But, I think the ones I still have are some of the most delicious, exotic covers, like 100% cashmere, etc.

I have to admit that most of my favorite covers are hard to get, like Bizzy B Hive (she stocks at http://www.middayfaire.com but hasn't in a while), Luxe Baby, Celtic Wool Creations, Fussybutt, Fluffymail.

But, one of my favorites is pretty easy to get. Tykie Diapers makes awesome wool covers, and she recently stocked a ton of dip-dye and embroidered ones. Check her sizing because I've heard her smalls run like newborn, but her sewing is impeccable and her customer service is awesome! http://www.tykiediapers.com

I love my Fuz Easy. They are great for day AND night! I only have one in a pretty marigold color but I want more.

A few people mentioned Woolybumbums. At one point I had 4! I love her covers and she is a dream to work with. I like her pull on covers best.

This is available at angelwraps, but I think you need to buy this, PLUS a nice wool cover. This dipe is a medium, which they say should fit from 16lbs. So, he could grow into it? I also recommend a Firefly Easy wool cover, I lust for one, you can get great colors, and get customs with one color for the body, another for the binding.

Drats I just had a post all typed out for you and it disappeared :(

Anyhoo, Love our 2 WBB's and agree that the pull-on is the way to go. Initially had one of each--a wrap and a pull-on but decided that I didn't care for the wrap style so Sarah gladly converted it to a pull on for me.

Here is a pic of Finn sporting his WBB works of art :)

I bought my medium Angelwraps when DS was about 4 months and they fit but the rise was huge. It was way over his bellybutton and he couldn't sit comfortably in them. He didn't grow into the rise until he was a year. So you may want to order a custom medium and have her adjust the rise a bit lower.

Another vote for the Firefly Easy wool cover. I got mine from the in-stock supply, it was shipped very quickly and is so dreamy, buttery soft. I love it for day and night...may have to get another...
