Felting the one Cynthia (wreckgirl1) sent me, and it's starting to felt after numerous washes with my diapers. It's still stretchy, though, and I can still see the individual stitches if I look closely.

What do you think? Is this the desired state, or do I need to wash it another time or two to felt it further?

Thanks, Cynthia. This is fun. :)

I would think its current state would be pretty nice, still a tad stretchy, but with some felting for extra protection. I made some when Forrest was small, and didn't heavily felt them, and they worked well, after lanolizing. Make sure you post pics when you make the cover. Are you making a soaker style, or shorts?

First, have you been getting my emails? I've been trying to get in touch with you about the Loveybums I stalked for you.

Second (and on topic), do you know a good wool shorts cover pattern, or would you just use a pattern that would otherwise be used for regular clothes? Or use a pattern for longies, but make them shorter?

Which leads to: Third, where did you find the Burda shorts pattern you've mentioned? I've run some searches, but I'm not finding it for sale. :(

Oops! I forgot about the Loveybums! I did get your email, and will reply tonight.

I used a butt-sweater pattern, which was quite the Frankenstein look, you know, cut a triangle, use the ends of the sleeves as cuffs, etc.

You could also use a pattern, to make shorts.

The Burda pattern is a pants pattern, but could be cut down for shorts. I'm looking online, but I can't find it! Maybe they discontinued it.
edited to add:
It appears to be discontinued, but here is a place on line that has it!
