I am new to CDing. My DS is 17 months old and weighs 27ish lbs. Should I order the toddler size of will the premium be ok. His weight has slowed greatly in the past few months. Or does someone recommend something other than the prefolds for a toddler his size?

Thanks for your help!!

Welcome to the wonderful fluffy world! :)

Well, if you're talking prefolds, you could use the premiums if you trifold/quadruple fold. But if you want to snappi, my suspicion is that the premiums won't be wide enough.

If you're talking about fitteds or pockets, it definitely depends on the brand.

Is there a particular brand of unbleached prefolds that are better or prefered?

Thanks.... oh I can see lots of questions coming :)~

Ah, well most people like either the CPFs or the IPFs. Initially, the IPFs are softer, although if you wash your CPFs enough times, they do start to soften up, LOL. In general, my unbleached ones have been softer than my bleached ones. Oh, and the IPFs tend to shrink a tad more, so they seem more fluffed up, but then they are slightly shorter. I use both, but I can no longer snappi my premium IPFs, so I use them as changing pads.

I got all my PFs from Granitesmith on ebay. Her name is Teresa and she's really nice and will actually help you decide what you need via e-mail. I did look at her site, but often I found that e-mailing her directly was much easier. Her e-mail is teresa dot smith at rocketmail dot com.

The other thing you could do is go to Lilbunz.com or naturalbabies.com and try their sampler package of one prefold each. That way you could decide what you like.

Hope this gets you started and generates all sorts of questions. :)
