Help me brighten up my stash!

I just finished folding my NB stash and putting it into cute little baskets when I realized 2 things:
1 - I don't have nearly enough covers!
2 - This is one BORING stash!!!
I have 1 doz KL 0's, 10 MJ's Sherpa (KL knock offs from baby marketplace) and 10 tiny tots fitteds (also from BM). For covers I have 2 proraps NB and 3 BWP NB. I had a few others I thought were NB but are actually smalls. I was trying hard to be practical and economical, but now I want something cute for those first days, but I'm running out of time! Anyone care to help me find a cute NB cover that I can get quickly?? I'd prefer fleece or wool but at this point am open to anything. I need to be petty and silly right now and get a small pick me up!

It's actually not all that expensive and it's cute and pretty!

There's some other stuff in the hyena cart that might be fun to look for. I think PUL for a newborn is just fine, even during the summer, because you change them so often.

What fabric are you looking for? I'm assuming he's in smalls now? If you have time for customs theres tons out there! I just placed a small custom order with www.cherrybombbaby.com. Her stuff looks cute and trim, and her prices rock! She does nylon, fleece and wool.

What about dying your fitteds, KL and MJs? I dyed my KL's and they look great and it was soooo easy! I can send you a picture if you like too. All I did was buy some Dylon dye from Joanns (1.99 per package) you just put the dye in some warm water with some salt, add your pre-wettened diapers, swish them around for 15 minutes then let them sit for an hour stirring occasionally, rinse, wash, and your done! Let them air dry the first time, wash them on hot again and put them in the dryer and tada they are done and wont bleed, are colorfast and so pretty! I did one of mine purple and the other green while I was dying some other things and they turned out cute (the serging doesnt take the color so my green one has the rainbow stitching and looks neat). They are soo pretty and really brighten up your stash. They have a ton of colors too! If you arent up to the challenege I would be happy to do them for you (I just dyed some covers and t-shirts last night Yummy!) Just let me know if you are interested. :)

Kathryn, do you have easy peasy, dyieing for dummies directions for using procion dye? I have some I got from Dharma, but I'm too intimidated to try it out yet!

OOh, now that's a thought for a few weeks down the line. This week I'm not allowed to go anywhere :( Maybe after she comes I can head to JoAnn's and get some. I like that you don't have to "cook" the dye!

I'd take you up on your offer, but I will be needing the dipes soom and if she goes through dipes like C did, my 30 or so fitteds will only last 2 days between washings ;)

I just got a small fitted (all OCV) and a NB fleece cover to try out fleece. I have no idea what the color/print on the fleece will be like though - I just wanted something lightweight to try and this was the closest she had to girly :) She is super fast though! I just ordered Sunday and she e-mailed to say it was done but she ran out of snaps, so will ship in a few days! She does have a bunch of cute prints in stock if you're going for the nylon/pul covers.

I'm feeling well but am on house arrest this week. P is definitely low and my MWs agree that I will probably have her next week - yikes!!

Tell me about it!!!! I am trying to be prepared but no too anxious because for all I know I *could* still go past due :) Unlikely given how much pressure I feel (and how often I have to pee!) but it certainly is possible!

Now I'm rethinking getting anything girlie because I have been dreaming that she is really a he! Silly hormones...
