darn it: out grown small tykie diaper

I bought B a small liliac tykie diaper and it honestly was the prettiest thing I ever saw...she weighs 10lbs 8 ounces as of monday at 2 months and this gorgeous diaper is on it's third wear right now and I can't snal the bottom snaps...

I am sad about this...
but spreading the word on the sizing so people know...
it appears to be super made though just upset I ordered the wrong size I guess...the site says it should accommodate up to 15lbs but clearly not in our case...

Does Bronwyn have chubby thighs? I know my DS outgrew a lot of dipes early because he had chubby thighs. It's good to know their sizing runs small, though.
BTW, I saw a pic of Bronwyn from the retreat and she is just gorgeous!

I don't think she has chubby thighs...she might, but neither she nor Tristan really had the chub factor, though he was clearly "big" it was more solid then chub...

I just really think these diapers are small...I looked at it out of the wash and just looked so tiny...too bad because it is sooooo pretty!!!!

Thank you again for your comment about Bronwyn...she looks more and more like the T'ster with each day...

Neve, I love the Tykie dipes, but I've always thought they run small. Kaya had to have a large, well before she was in the proper range of them. And if I recall correctly, Tarah's Fory is almost in the XL ones. Kaya had somewhat chubby thighs, but not like Fory or Rory (Judegirl).

I think they run small too. I love ours that Anna (pritchettzoo) gave us and I am dreading when it doesn't fit Riley anymore. I am guessing Riley is about 11 pounds and change now, but it is already getting too small and she has pretty thin thighs. :(

I guess I better order the next size now. Hee hee.

ETA: wow, that was my 4,000th post. Crazy.

Yes, I have found her diapers to run small. That is amazing that she is outgrowing a small at only 10 pounds. How small must her newborn size be?? It didn't seem like Bronwyn had chubby thighs to me, so I don't think that is the problem. I wonder if her diapers shrink a lot...? Maybe she doesn't wash and dry the fabric a couple of times?? Just guessing.

You'll just have to get the same dipe in a medium! :)

Argh, I just ordered a small one to try for the baby when she gets here too. And if she's anywhere near Taran's size, it's not going to fit her more than a week then. Bronwyn is tiny to me too. Now granted, I wanted it for pretty much right after she was born, but I was hoping for more than a week of wear.

Oh well, we'll see it when it gets here. :) I guess if nothing else, I have a bit of time to exchange it if I decide to do so. :)

I think she explained to me that she can't add snaps for sizing (this is what I do when I ordered larger diapers)...but I still would get a medium if you have a chance...

I am deeply saddened that B wore this diaper only 3 times!
I do beleive they shrink vs being small from the get go...

Yes- they DO run small, Dallin wore a medium for about a day and grew out of it. Which bummed me out because it was an awesome print :(
