Paging Nohomama--did you felt and dye your Stacinator strech cover?

(Or anyone else who's done it!) I thought I read a thread from MDC by you, but I could be hallucinating. I just dyed one with Kool-Aid and am now wondering whether to felt it. It's a large, which is freaking huge on Gracie but I've read that felting can reduce the stretch.
