They just need to be able to contain the poop. We're usiing the bummis swim dipes from lilbunz. They're awesome, although they're like little speedos. :P They're extremely soft and cute!

We're using the Diaperaps swim dipe. It's also like a little speedo and is totally cute.

we are using Huggies Little Swimmers. I can't imagine trying to clean up wet soggy poop. I want something I can tear away and toss. (yes I know I am supposed to put the poop in the toilet and if the poop cooperates I will do so)

We've used the Bumpy swim dipe from LilBunz. So far, so good. He hasn't pooped in it yet.

Maybe we are just lucky, but not once did Leela poop (am i jinxing myself?) in the pool last year. And she does not poop in the bath either.
Has anyone actually seen a baby poop in the pool? Or is it a myth?

Well, we've been lucky as well, but my friend who is a pediatric nurse, but was a nanny said that she once cared for a baby and during one bath (I think he was just under a year old), he pooped and by the time she realized it, he had grabbed and shoved in his mouth (sorry if this is TMI)! She just cleaned him up as best she could and tried not to lose it. :)

I have an iplay swim dipe from Target, but haven't tried it yet. I have some Flap Happy swim trunks for DS that have the swim dipe built in, and they were great for swimming class. He hasn't pooped in them. (yet)

YES! Gracie went through a period where she would poop every time she got in the bath. The nice warm water is relaxing, and I guess it works on every part of your body!

Baby or child poop in pools is what causes outbreaks of--can't think of the disease/bacteria right now--anyway, it's very serious. Several children died of it here in the Atlanta area after the water at a huge water park was contaminated.

So, knocking wood, Gracie has never pooped in the pool, but it's just not worth risking IMO.

Yikes. We used the Bumpy Swim dipe last year and I will probaby get the same one this year. Now i fear other kids pooping in pools.
It is like the petting zoo.. it seems kids get kidney failure when they touch the pets.. it was on dateline. Nothing is safe anymore! :(

I like the Bumpy Imse Vimse ones, so dang cute and trim. I have an Iplay, but I'm probably going to sell it to fund a Bumpy in the next size up because I like the Bumpy fit so much better. And I don't really care for the terry inner.

DD never poops in the pool but sometimes she does before or after swimming.

Another Bumpy user here. We used one last summer and for swim class all winter and I loved it. Just got Mia 2 more and one for Jack too.

this is what we've used since finn was 7 months old. It is what our swim school requires each child to wear until they are 3 yo. potty trained or not. I really like this swim dipe. simple and affordable plus lots of cute prints.

What about the beach? We will be spending a week at the beach in August. Does the Bumpy work as well as one of the disposibles?
