This is embarassing...it wasn't even a diaper cover. It was a stuffed goose. Yep, a goose. I thought it was organic cotton, but it must have been organic wool because now it's a mess and everything in the wash smells like wet dog. (Lanolin, LOL.) I washed all dd's stuffed animals in a pillowcase...and now....yikes. :(

So I knew where to turn, anyway, if there's any hope...what do you think? Can I save the poor thing?

Sigh. I was having such a productive day.

Thanks,
Jude

Hmm...I'm not sure about saving the goose--it depends on what happened to it. Did it shrink? Is it warped? If it's wet, you might be able to gently stretch and squeeze and adjust it back in shape. As for the rest of it, you might try washing with a little Dawn, just because I think it would help get rid of the oil better than regular detergent. Just make sure you do enough rinses to get it all out and don't use too much (I've BTDT!).

Hmm...Kaya has a wool horse (from NM), but I didn't realize wool stuffed animals were common.
