Our swim dipe from lilbunz came today (sooo quick I ordered it on friday!) and I tried it on DD and I think it is too big. There doesn't appear to be any gaps in the waist or thigh. But it is supposed to fit like a speedo right?
I had to bribe her with veggie puffs to stand still...so sorry for the shoddy camera work.

It does look big to me. But I think the main question is whether the elastic around the legs is snug. You know, so nothing icky will escape... If so, it's probably OK, and she'll grow into it.

Cute!

Yes, I would say it's probably on the big side, but Kaya's fit her similarly for a while and it's still slightly poofy, but the important thing is that it's snug around her legs and waist, which it is on Kaya. It's hard to tell if that's the case for your Squirmy Monster, but it looks like it. I decided not to size down on Kaya because I wanted her to grow into it. We'll see if that's the case for the rest of the summer. :) I do know she's grown since the last time she wore it though!

O.k. thanks, it looks very snug, just really poofy around the bottom and the front areas. Poor skinny babe...she eats like a horse and can't get a poofy baby booty. At least with fluff it makes her looks like she has curves. :)

She is just supposed to wear the swim dipe and that is all right?
Silly I know, just doesn't seem to be enough for some reason.

Yup, the swim dipe alone is just fine, unless you want to put a suit on top of it. I wouldn't bother, though, just because I don't want to shell out the bucks for a suit as well, LOL! I am sure to put sunscreen on her, though.

Good point on the sunscreen, I will need to get some of that! She actually got a bathing suit for her birthday from MIL one piece. I won't be putting her in it, but she can. ;)

I think it's fine to just wear the dipe. Did want to add that I found DD very slippery during swim lessons, and I appreciated having the straps of her swimsuit to hold.
