Okay, so my first CD order arrived with lightning speed (thanks Cottontailbaby.com!), and I was able to launder and dry everything before Gabe woke up from his nap.

So, here's our first CD pic! I started with a Fuzzibunz with a MOE insert. I think it fits well, but please take a look and tell me if I'm doing everything right. There's a little gaping at the waist when he's standing up, but it's smooth against his back.

It was SO cute putting it on him for the first time!!! I let him touch it first to feel the softness. Then, when I started putting it on, he was all "oooh," "ahhhh," "ohhhh!" It's was SO adorable. You can tell he likes the feel a lot. :)

What do you think?

The next dipe on the table is a Happy Heiny. (and I have a WHOLE bunch more goodies on the way!!! eeek!)

That looks like a pretty good fit, with growing room. The model is adorable also. I could be biased since all we use are Fuzzi's.

That's very cute! He is the perfect model! Yes, I think it's a pretty good fit with plenty of growing room. It's possible it's gaping in the front a little because he's on the smallest end of the range, but still, I think it looks good. You just don't want it gapping when he's lying down and peeing (straight up). ;)

You may have a lot coming, but that means we'll get to see more of your cutie! :)

I think it looks good on him! I'm glad he likes it, too.

Okay, so my little Gabe hadn't pooped in about a day...and about 10 minutes after the above pictures were taken, he gave me one of the biggest poops of his life! I handled it very well, and it came right off Fuzzibunz with no hassle at all.

So I try out the Happy Heiny next. 30 minutes later...poop.

So, I change him again into his third ever cloth diaper (another Happy Heiny). An hour later...poop!!!

What the heck?! They were all very "healthy" and easily removed and flushed...but my goodness! I think he's a little too comfy in his new dipes! ;) At least I got to break them all in the same day, huh? :)

Off to do some laundry!

Oh, BTW - I told my mom today that we're experimenting with cloth diapers, and she was really happy for me! Her dad, the doctor, hates disposables and always encouraged his girls to use cloth for their kids. She was really impressed with how far cloth diaper have come since her days. Just wait till she sees the pretty wool covers I have on the way!

Woohoo! I've always believed that if your kid has constipation problems, a new dipe is the best laxative there is out there! ;)

I'm so glad your initial experiences with cloth are going well. And it's wonderful you have the support of your mom (and indirectly, your grandfather)!

LOL!! WHAT is it about new fluff?? The poo never fails.

Gabe looks great! The first two pics look like he is a professional little model, "striking a pose". :) I love your story about his reaction!

It's so funny, he really does strike a pose! I think I watched a little bit too much America's Next Top Model around him. :) He's a true camera hog!

Fit looks good to me!
He looks so happy in his new fluff! So adorable the way he reacted, DD could care less, well I guess she is young. ;)
She always poos in new dipes too, it is almost like she is thinking...hmm this is comfy, let's break it in!
Glad you first run of poo in cloth were easy ones...

So adorable!! Looks like he is loving his new cloth!!!
And pooping 3 times in a row.. he definitely knows the golden rule of christening new cloth diapers.
