I know you were looking for Sesame Street dipes and I know you like FBs. This is too darn cute. I might have to fight you for it, especially since Alex's favorite color is orange.

Thank you for the tip!! It is adorable and I love orange (as does Toby) but I am a child of the 80s and the fact that Elmo has usurped Sesame Street p@%^(&es me off! So when Elmo comes on a DVD I try to subvert Toby (In fact we don't get the Elmo centric DVDs at all!)...now if it was a Bert and Ernie or any other character, I would sooo be stalking it!

I'm not so sure I'd say I resent him, but he is certainly annoying and he, along with Barney, are banned from our house. Now Bert and Ernie...they were my favorite Sesame Street Characters. :)

It has reached the point where the show could be named Elmo and friends! Sooo disappointing for those of us who watched the show as kids pre-Elmo!

How sad--I haven't watched Sesame Street in years and Kaya is still too young for TV. Plus we haven't decided what shows, if any, we want her to watch.

I still remember fondly watching Oscar (loved him when I was feeling grumpy), Ernie and Bert, and even Big Bird, who was sometimes annoying, but still interesting to watch. I also enjoyed the "Which of these things are kind of the same?" with different objects and people, as well as all the interplay among the humans and puppets. Oh, and any Spanish I still remember came from that show. :) From what you're saying, I should count my blessings that I'm not watching Sesame Street. Oh well, there are always the Mr. Roger's reruns. Now HIM I loved!

Maybe it is isolated to the DVDs and marketing craze? I don't have a TV that we watch channels on- just a TV with DVD. When I was looking for b-day stuff for Toby, it was all Elmo...had to order the non-elmo stuff online. So silly.
