Our son has outgrown medium FuzziBunz (leaving red marks on his thighs), and since we've been having such a fleece repelling problem we're thinking of trying other types of pocket dipes instead (suedecloth, maybe?). What do you recommend for a baby with his measurements:

waist: 17"
thigh: 13"
rise: 12-13"

NOT Babyblankets. Much as it pains me to say this about my very favorite pocket dipes (we have 7 Babyblankets) - they simply don't work for babies with chunky thighs. If you do a search, you should find a discussion about this.

Rashmi(papal) likes Apronstringsbabythings for her DD - who also has chunky thighs. Possibly Snap-EZ. Maybe Ella's pockets?

ITA with Nita. If you want something good for chunky thighs with Suedecloth, go for some Snap-EZ. They've always worked well for Kaya. When Kaya really started chunking up in the legs, FBs and BBs both left red marks on her thighs, but SEZ did not. It looks like she currently has at least one custom slot and some instock diapers available. I would guess, based on your son's measurements, that you would want a large with extra snaps (for the waist).

I know I'm in the minority w/this one, but we love our Wonderoos. My DD has been wearing them since we started CDing in September when she was just six months old. They don't squeeze the thighs b/c of the way they snap (they're a one-size diaper). These are the only CDs that have consistently fit her well. She has outgrown lots of others, but she's still got room to grow in the Wonderoos. And they're suedecloth, not fleece.

Medium Baby Blankets are pretty small, and Abby outgrew them really quickly. Large Baby Blankets are a lot bigger than the mediums.

We have a large Snap-Ez that seems so much bulkier in the butt than the Wonderoos. I really want to like the Snap-Ez, but I honestly just don't like the way they fit my DD.

I am always so tempted to try out some more new pockets, but now I'm thinking I won't rock the boat - Wonderoos stuffed w/CPFs are our favorite around here. Cheap and easy.

Good luck!
